In difficult weather conditions, ESB Networks staff have restored power to a further 8,000 homes, farms and businesses since 5:00pm this evening. The number of customers without power as of 8:30pm tonight now stands at 29,000, meaning a total of 356,000 homes, farms and businesses have now been restored. Contractors and crews from NIE Networks, EDF and overseas utilities and defence forces personnel have been assisting these efforts, with Wexford and Cork being the worst affected counties. 20/10/2017 Photo ESB
