20/3/2019 Public Order Training Exercise, Gormanston Army Camp, Co. Meath. Members of the National Public Order Unit take on violent protesters (Bibs) while attend a An Garda Siochana Public Order training exercise taking place at Gormanston Army Camp. An Garda Siochana is finishing an 8 week period of Annual Public Order training for members assigned to the Dublin Region. During these annual recertification courses Garda members are trained and tested in their competence in Public Order policing skills. The exercise involves resistance to Garda Units from passive peaceful resistance up to ‘controlled violent’ resistance which includes missiles and incendiary devices.
