File Photo: Former Irish President Mary Robinson appears on the RTE Late Late show tonight. She is expected to speak about her many achievements apart from becoming the first woman to become President of Ireland. One of them will surely be her historic meeting with Queen Elizabeth II in Buckingham Palace in 1993, the first between the heads of the two States. It is also regarded as an important stepping stone in the peace process and her invitation to the Queen to visit Ireland did not take place until 2011. End.
