As the spell of very fine weather continues, two women almost disappear in to the reeds as they enjoy a stroll on the boardwalk on Pollardstown Fen, near Kildare Town in County Kildare. Pollardstown Fen is the largest remaining spring fed fen in Ireland. Managed by the National Parks & Wildlife Service, the fen covers 220 hectares and is a Natural Nature Reserve since 1986.
