Pictured is Evanne Ní Chuilinn, RTÉ Sports broadcaster and Mia Horgan, age 7, from Castleknock, who has cystic fibrosis at the National Indoor Arena, Blanchardstown, for the launch of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland’s One in 1,000 campaign to enlist 100 teams of ten women to take part on behalf of the charity in the VHI Women’s Mini-Marathon this June. With Ireland having the highest prevalence of cystic fibrosis in the world, and some of the most severe types, the charity is hoping for a massive show of “girl power” support as it aims to recruit 1,000 women in total and raise €100,000 for vital cystic fibrosis services.
